Nic Salts vs Shortfills: Which E-Liquid Do You Need?

What's the difference between nic salts and shortfills?
Nic salts are 10ml bottles with nicotine already added (5-20mg), designed for MTL pod kits. Shortfills are larger 50ml/100ml bottles sold at 0mg, designed for sub-ohm tanks, where you add a separate nic shot to reach your preferred strength.
Which e-liquid strength should I choose after quitting smoking?
